Giggles Relatives are Always Welcome

Last night was a visit from Giggle's Mom (who really does deserve a name, but will forever in my mind be Giggles Mom) and her three kits. They are all very sweet, but very different than Giggles, Shadow and Cindy Lou. On this evening, they partook of the crackers, played in the yard a bit, and then got in a pile and took a nap by the water dish.






Do older raccoons have problems with their eyes? Both she and Stubby seem to have cateracts or something.... ???

Giggles Mom and the White(ish) One

The night before my vacation (approx Aug. 6) was a busy night. And for the first time Giggle's mom brought her three teen kids for the first time! One of them is very light in color, very pretty! The last couple of weeks I have been busy with travel and guests, but someone has been coming almost every night. I'm concerned about Snapper, I haven't seen him lately, Sweetie has just been coming with the two girls. And Stubby seems to be down to five. Hopefully the two missing ones just met, fell in love and decided to run off to together. Yeah, that's it...

Wed & Thurs Visits

Wednesday another visit from both the families - they do make a mess sometimes! And tonight Giggle's mom finally brought her kits. Not sure if there are one or two, as Sweeties family came at the same time and there was a slight scuffle. One of her kits was much lighter than most, a sweet fluffy looking young fellow.

Stubby & The Five

Sigh. Yes, just five again. I don't know what happened, but choose to believe one just felt it was time to charge out on his own... or ran off with a girl, or something. It can happen that they all come back again too. But we had a good time last night! They are such fun peeps to party with. They let me come out and play with them. Now if only I could keep them from breaking my pots and knocking over my plants....

Sweetie's Weekend Visits (& Bob)

Saturday night we had friends come down from north of LA to go to the OC Fair, but also to hopefully see the raccoons. The time window was short, but with just minutes to spare, Sweetie's family showed up on cue! They were back again tonight, as was Bob - a solo diner a little earlier in the evening. I didn't have my camera ready for Bob. Rats.
